DO NOT use this medication if you are allergic to Xanax or any other benzodiazepines like
- Chlordiazepoxide (Librium)
- Clorazepate (Tranxene)
- Diazepam (Valium)
- Lorazepam (Ativan) or oxazepam (Serax).
DO NOT take this medication if you are pregnant or if you are planning to become pregnant. Xanax is known to cause birth defects in unborn babies.
Before you start consuming this Xanax Medication, tell your doctor if you ever had history of any of the following diseases:-
- Breathing problems, glaucoma, kidney or liver disease
- Depression, suicidal thoughts,
- Drug addiction
- Alcohol addiction
Avoid consuming alcohol or medicines which make you feel sleepy while taking Xanax Medication. You should ONLY consume Xanax if it is prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist as it can be habit – forming. Always keep Xanax at a secure place away from others.
Xanax Overdose (TOP)
You should ask for immediate medical help if you think you have consumed Xanax in larger proportion than recommended. An overdose of Xanax can have some serious life threatening side effects.

- Confusion
- Muscular Weakness
- Loss of balance or coordination

Xanax Dosage (TOP)
You must take the missed dose as soon as you remember. But, if it is time for the next dose then skip the missed one and take the regular dose. DO NOT take extra dose to compensate for the missed one.
Xanax Side Effects (TOP)
Ask for immediate medical help if you experience any of the below mentioned allergic reactions:-
- Hives
- Difficulty breathing
- Swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Immediately call you doctor or medical care provider, if you experience any of the following serious Xanax Side Effects:-
- Unusual risk-taking behavior, decreased inhibitions, no fear of danger.
- Depressed mood, thoughts of suicide or hurting yourself.
- Hyperactivity, agitation, hostility, hallucinations.
- Feeling light-headed, fainting.
- Seizure (convulsions).
- Urinating less than usual or not at all.
- Muscle twitching, tremor or
- Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
Some of the common or less serious Xanax Side Effects are:-
- Drowsiness, dizziness, feeling irritable.
- Amnesia or forgetfulness, trouble concentrating.
- Sleep problems (insomnia).
- Muscle weakness, lack of balance or coordination, slurred speech.
- Blurred vision.
- Nausea, vomiting, constipation, appetite or weight changes.
- Dry or watery mouth, increased sweating or
- Loss of interest in sex.
